Three men were charged after a series of violent home invasions targeting women alone in Sydney.

What it means

NSW Police are alleging that three men carried out a series of violent home invasions in Sydney targeting women who were alone, with some coverage saying the alleged offences include sexual assault. The men have been formally charged, meaning the accusations are now before the courts rather than just being investigated.

Accuracy & sourcesGrounded

The claim rests on a NSW Police statement reported same-day by ABC News Australia, AAP, the Guardian and several other outlets, so it is solid as an account of what police say. It reflects police allegations, not convictions or independently confirmed facts about the attacks.
