"Superconducting and anomalous metal phases observed in rhombohedral graphene" — Nature (current) · Science & Medicine
This Nature paper reports the experimental observation of superconducting and in stacked on a WSe₂ substrate. By tuning gate voltage and displacement field, the researchers map out a phase diagram showing regions of zero-resistance superconductivity and a distinct anomalous metallic state that deviates from conventional Fermi liquid theory. This work extends the study of strongly correlated physics in graphene-based systems.
The claim comes directly from a peer-reviewed Nature article (doi:10.1038/s41586-026-11033-1), making it a primary source with high reliability. The work was previously available as a preprint on arXiv (2607.28425) and has now passed Nature's editorial and peer-review process.
The paper was published on 23 September 2026, so it is genuinely new research.
