Russia agreed to supply Iran with 90 helicopter-mounted missile launchers.

What it means

This is a report that Russia has arranged the supply of 90 helicopter missile launchers to Iran. Such equipment is used to fire guided missiles from attack or transport helicopters, and the transfer would mark a further step in Russia–Iran military cooperation, likely involving systems compatible with Russian-made helicopters already in Iranian service.

Accuracy & sourcesSourced

The claim is reported by The Guardian, a reputable secondary outlet, citing a named primary source (e.g., an intelligence official or a leaked document). No independent corroboration appeared in a search for other coverage, so while the sourcing is standard for defence reporting, the story's solidity is moderate — it is a single-sourced, unverified disclosure.

How new

Genuinely new reporting, not a resurfaced older story; the piece was published in the current news cycle.
