Flash floods in Syria killed at least five people, including four children, and left five missing.

What it means

Heavy rainfall and flash floods across several Syrian provinces killed at least five people, including four children, and left five others missing, according to an Anadolu Agency report. The flooding also stranded travelers and strained infrastructure in a country already affected by years of conflict.

Accuracy & sourcesGrounded

The core figures—five dead, four of them children, and five missing—are attributed to Syrian authorities/Civil Defense and are corroborated by multiple outlets including Al Jazeera, Al-Monitor, and Syria's state news agency, so the claim is solid for a breaking disaster report. Exact locations and the final toll may shift as rescue operations continue.
