Rescue workers recovered four survivors on the third day after a building collapsed in Nairobi, Kenya, while dozens remained missing and families awaited news.

What it means

A multi-storey building collapsed in Nairobi, Kenya — reports place it in the Eastleigh neighborhood — and rescue crews have pulled four survivors from the rubble as their work enters its third day. Dozens of people remain unaccounted for, and some of the missing are reported to have been in phone contact, so the search is continuing even as families lose hope.

Accuracy & sourcesGrounded

The central claim — four rescued on day three, with several still missing — is solid as a summary of the AP wire report, which is the primary source here and is consistent with local Kenyan outlets covering the same rescue site. Casualty and missing-person numbers are provisional and shifting as the operation continues.

How new

Genuinely new: this reporting reflects the ongoing rescue on 24–26 October 2026, not resurfaced older material.
