A court heard alleged statements in which police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon confessed to killing people and asked a friend for help cleaning up.

What it means

This is a report from the trial of former NSW police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon, who is accused of murdering his ex-partner Jesse Baird and Baird's new boyfriend Luke Davies in February 2024. The court heard testimony from a friend who said Lamarre-Condon arrived at her house, confessed 'I've killed people' while making a shooting gesture and saying 'pew pew', and asked for help cleaning up. Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty and is arguing self-defence; the confession is a key piece of evidence being presented to the jury.

Accuracy & sourcesGrounded

The claim is based on live testimony in the NSW Supreme Court, reported consistently by multiple reputable Australian news outlets (ABC, SMH, The Guardian, etc.) that are directly covering the trial. The reporting is solid as a description of what was said in court, but the confession itself remains alleged and unproven until the jury's verdict.
