20 Oct 2026

What it means

This is a report that an iOS update removed a specific presentation-related capability from iPads, which users consider essential for giving presentations. The exact feature is not detailed in the highlight, but it likely involves using the iPad as a second screen or remote for slides. The claim originates from a personal blog post and was amplified on Hacker News, but no official Apple acknowledgment is cited.

Accuracy & sourcesGrounded

The claim rests on a single blog post and subsequent Hacker News discussion, with no primary source from Apple (release notes, support page, or developer documentation) provided. While the symptom of a broken feature is plausible, the 'essential' characterization is subjective, and the specific feature and iOS version affected are unclear without reading the full post.
