This is about unverified rumors that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un suffered a brain hemorrhage and was rushed to hospital, possibly in China. In response, North Korean state media released photos of the leader and a statement from his sister, Kim Yo Jong, dismissing the rumors as false. The claim itself is unsourced and originates from a tabloid report, but the official rebuttal has been widely covered by international outlets.
The claim originates from the Daily Express, an opinion/unsourced provenance tier, and is not based on any verifiable primary source. Multiple reputable outlets (BBC, Newsweek, NY Post) report that North Korea has released '' photos and a statement denying the rumors, which is the more solid part of the story. The underlying rumor of a medical emergency remains unconfirmed and is contradicted by the official response.
