Nvidia has confirmed that the RTX 5090 is not discontinued and will continue shipping.

What it means

Nvidia has officially denied recent rumors that its flagship RTX 5090 graphics card is being discontinued. Senior Vice President Jeff Fisher stated that the RTX 5090 will continue to ship, despite severe supply constraints that have led to disappearing retailer listings and inflated prices. This clarification comes after weeks of speculation triggered by limited availability.

Accuracy & sourcesGrounded

The claim is based on statements attributed to Nvidia SVP Jeff Fisher, reported by multiple reputable tech outlets (Tom's Hardware, VideoCardz, TweakTown). While no official press release or public statement from Nvidia is available, the consistency across these secondary sources strongly suggests the denial is genuine. The provenance tier is aggregated/secondary with no primary cited, so the claim is credible but not independently verifiable from a primary source.

How new

Genuinely new as of October 17, 2026; Nvidia's denial was issued in direct response to recent discontinuation rumors.
