Max Verstappen won the Singapore Grand Prix for the first time.

What it means

Max Verstappen won the 2026 Singapore Grand Prix on the Marina Bay street circuit — his first victory at this race, which had been a notable omission from his Formula One record. The result was widely reported by international outlets on 11 October 2026 as a straightforward race outcome.

Accuracy & sourcesGrounded

This is a factual race result, reported identically by The Guardian and multiple other international news organisations; the underlying primary source would be the official Formula 1/FIA classification, so the reporting is secondary but the claim is solid for this kind of outcome.

How new

Genuinely new: the race and the wave of reports are from 11 October 2026.
